The Regional Studies Association (RSA) is committed to supporting the global community and the research in regional studies and its related fields, including urban and rural studies, city-regions and interstitial spaces. Due to the current circumstances, RSA decided to extend the deadlines for individual research grants:
- Membership Research Grant Scheme (MeRSA) - https://www.regionalstudies.org/funding/membership-research-grant-scheme-mersa/
This grant aims to reward excellence and support outstanding individual researchers on a topic related to regional studies and regional science. It is intended primarily to provide opportunities for scholars who have already published in the field of regional studies and/or regional science and who are currently individual members of the RSA.
- Value: up to £5,000
- Extended Application Deadline (Expression of Interest): 4th August 2020
- Early Career Grant Scheme - https://www.regionalstudies.org/funding/early-career-grant-scheme/
This award is open to individual applicants in their early career (five years maximum between the date showing on the certificate and the application deadline).
- Value: up to £10,000
- Extended Application Deadline (Expression of Interest): 18th August 2020
These Grants operate a two stage application and assessment process. In the first round, applicants are asked to submit an expression of interest.
