Abstract

The article analyses the relation between the national public space and the European public space in the new context of Romania: adhering at the European Union. The first section searches the national public space. It sketches some directions of Romanian nation in order to prove the nature of forming the historical process of Romanian identity. After 1859, the moment of the creation of Romanian national State, a radical action of Romanization society has been realized. In the same way, Romania knows and will know another process – Europeanization society. This implies many unknown profound transformations. It will create a new European identity associated by Europeanization society like the same amplitude Romanization society.
