Abstract

The study refers to the methods and strategies that people use in the process of finding a job in Roşiorii de Vede, a city in which one's opportunities to get a job are drastically reduced by the poor state of economic context. In order to get more and of a better quality information about the job offers, a person needs relations, in a sociological language, network capital. Family, friends and other acquaintances represent, in Roşiori a successful alternative given the fact that the other methods and strategies prove to be inefficient or at best they have a limited efficiency.
